The Vampire Diaries is AMAZING! The TV show is better than the books though. I prefer The Vampire Diaries but it depends. I really recommend the show! :D
i personally prefer the twilight series!!!! if you wanna know more about vampire diaries, you had better ask other people, 'cause i'm stuck with twilight and i'm afraid i can't be very.....objective!!!!!! lol:)
it depends the Twilight series is Stephenie's view. It also is more realistic than a 100 year old vampire waiting to get married to have sex.
Please don't get offeneded but Stephenie being mormon has alot to do with twilight.
Vampire Diaries is different and goes closer to the mythology of vampires. I would suggest watching the show and going on their fan page.
I think twilight is better. The vampire diaries are harder to follow. Vampire diares do have more action then twilight thought, but twilight has a better story line.
I just got into the show myself and it really seems simuliar to twilight I haven't read TVD books so I can't say my pov there but they are great in there own ways so it's 50/50 for me =)
It actually depends on what you like to see. I think Vampire Diaries present more action and more drama, especially because there are multiple couples. Vampire Diaries also depicts vampires and werewolves, etc. in a different light, a more scarier way, if you will. Twilight is more romance, Vampire Diaries is drama.

I loved Twilight but then i started watching TVD and fell totally in love with it! But don´t worry ;) I still love Twilight. But Twilight isn´t so much action and exiting waiting like it is with Vampire Diaries. Both are good but i started to prefer Vampire Diaries. Watch it! It´s 100% worth it! You will regret nothing!
Twilight is more romantic but TVD is a very good series itself!!It has more action with romance and magic.....FYI I watched 2 seasons of TVD in three days!!
