who agrees with me that the spot named critical analysis of twilight is an anit sopt? i mean an i con on their sopt is : twilight, oh how i hate this. let me count the ways. i think we should strike against it!!!

i don't think it's an anti spot. When they say get away from it all, they mean get away from the fangirls. Which, no offense to anyone, but I agree. There are more than many girls on fanpop who love twilight for only Edward and the hott guys. They just want to have a spot where they can talk freely without the fangirls shouting at them. And yeah, they do talk badly about twilight sometimes, but I think it's because of the movie. Alot of people have problems with the movie and the upcoming movies. I don't, but some people do. And that's fine. It's their opinion. If they say their opinion on the Twilight spot, alot of the fangirls will "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WAT UR TAKLIG ABOUT!!!!" They mispell because they're mad and the grammar sometimes isn't the greatest. Speaking for all of the people at that spot, i understand why they need to escape it all. Twilight used to be serious business before the movie started. People got into deep discussions before all the fangirls started joining the spot. You can't tell me you haven't noticed the number of fans rise dramatically. Or, maybe you joined recently too. You know that's fine. But if you don't like their spot, then stay away. No one is asking you to visit their spot.

Hi, longtime lurker, first time writer. Let me preface this by saying I'm not a member of the Twilight Spot. I am a member of C.A.T. Does this mean I hate Twilight? No. What it means is, I have some opinions on Twilight that I would like to express (and debate, FYI, rationally of course) in a safe, quiet place where people won't bite my head off if I say I don't like their favorite series.

I have complete and total respect for the Twilight Spot on Fanpop. You have every right to like the series, and you have every right to obsess over it however you see fit (so long as you keep it in Twilight-related spots, which, frankly, you don't always do). I would never come into the Twilight spot and put down the books, either intentionally offensively, or politely because I know that this is your spot and you don't want that here.

C.A.T. wasn't just made for "haters." We welcome anyone interested in the Twilight series, from Twilight fans to Twilight critics. If you behave, I think we could even handle a crazy fangirl or two. Why? Because we're welcoming of all opinions on the book. That's why it's called critical analysis. The reason you're seeing a mostly critical opinion on the series is because few real fans actually frequent the spot. There are some, but not nearly enough to stir up interesting (civil!!!) conversation.

So on behalf of C.A.T. and the kittens, I invite you-- ALL of you-- to partake in the discussions of our spot. Why? Because you have a voice, and we want you to use it. Just don't use it so much that you neglect to hear anyone else. That's our only rule-- respect all opinions. I think. I actually didn't make the rules, but I think that's a general rule of Fanpop.

I recognize that you might be offended, and I apologize for that, on behalf of all of us. We do not mean to insult or offend. However, I do think that some Twilight fans can be a bit touchy when it comes to their favorite books. That's fine-- I just want you to recognize that sometimes, some of you (not all of you) can overreact when someone says something tiny, like they don't really like Twilight. It's not a big deal. You love it-- and not everyone agrees with you. That's the case with everything in life.

Again-- If we shadows have offended, think but this, and all is mended: That you have but slumbered here while these visions did appear... Give me your hands, if we be friends, and I shall restore amends.

I just found out that spot even existed, but I need to support it.
The thing is that the critical analysis of Twilight could easily be in this very spot, with respect and there could be a nice and calm discussion between the fans.
But most Twilighters hate it when the book is analyzed, which isn't something bad, you need to understand that.
So if you try to talk about it here, you guys say "GET OUT OF THE SPOT, YOU ANTITWILIGHTER! GO ROTT IN HELL!!" and if you do it somewhere else it's like "IT'S AN ANTI SPOT, WE NEED TO DESTROY IT!!!".

Make up your minds, people.

Why does it matter even if it is an anti spot? People are allowed to give their opinions. You cant really strike. Dont worry about it, if their opinions offend you just stay away from the spot. This one has way more fans anyway, its not a big deal.

This is kind of the reason it was formed - people are allowed to voice their opinions as freely as they want and some fans (and others) find it hard when the fans of this spot refuse to hear anything against their beloved Edward.

It's not just for people who don't like Twilight it's for fans who are willing to see the flaws and would like to discuss it. I like Twilight but nothing is perfect and I don't think the series is perfect. What's wrong with discussing a topic? And who cares what anyone else thinks? If you think a books good that's great you don't need to strike against people who don't have the same opinion.

I said this in a comment but I think it's another good point. Another reason it was formed was to stop you all from firing up. Surely since it's not on this spot and people are saying possibly negative things about the series it doesn't affect you. Because there are anti fans out there who want to voice their opinions the only appropriate, fanpop-friendly way to do it is on another spot. If you don't want to hear people saying things you don't like, don't visit the spot and leave everyone on there in peace, we're doing it for you on here aren't we?

i think it a ani spot.even in the description it says for people who want to get away from the hype and dislike it.i think fanpop should delete it cuz it IS an anti spot.no offence to who made the spot though.

Yeah that is starting to tick me off. I was okay with at first cause they were being at least nice about it. They've gotten very mean lately though. I do think its time for fanpop to shut it down.

Why would they bother making a spot if they don't like it? It's a bit pointless and contradictory.
If they hate Twilight so much, then they should just stay away from it. They don't need to make a spot to talk about how much they dislike it. That's just stupid.

Maybe it is partially anti...
But it's also a place where you can have a structured conversation about the series, as apposed to here, where if you try to make light of the series in any way at all, you're basically insulting it. As apposed to here, where you have to decode people's text speak to have a clue in the slightest as to what they're saying. It's a place where you can critisize the series, but without saying, "This book is GAY!" etc... I think it's a good spot. It's not anti nor is it pro-Twilight, but it is however somewhere you can talk about the series. Go ahead, revolt or whatever against it. Personally, I don't care. I'll laugh.

Im a mbr of the C.A.T spot, but i actually LIKE the twilight saga. It's just nice to c othrs pple's views. And some of the othr pple who joined the spot are fans of twilight aswell. I guess the spot is becoming more Anti, than for and against. But dnt foreget there is some of us on that spot that like twilight but want to have an indepth discussion and post our views, and contrast them to others views :)

This is MY oppion.

I think they can have that spot and say what they wont and point out their veiws, but me personally think its stupid that they wont to bitch over something thats just a book/movie.. you dont see a spot thats there for hating 'Harry Potter' or anything..

I get that MAYBE they wanna get away from Fans and all that but they seriously have to get over the fact that people are ALLOWED to be fans of Twilight and say what they won, because of course its a TWILIGHT SPOT!..

But i guess they can have a spot like that it dsnt really matter.. I personally dont care if they dislike Twilight and that but some of them on there are telling lies, because ive been talked about on there and they are insulting me.. which is really low.. okay i am a huge twilight fan and a proud member of the c.a.t spot, it is for antis and twilighters alike to post their oppinoins freely with out getting screamed at by all the crazy fangirls on the twilight spot. yes they do have alot of anti-twilight stuff on there but thats because there are anti's on the spot, there is also alot of pro-twilight stuff on it from the people on there who are just looking for other intelligent beings that are not obsessed with ""HOTTT CULLENNN BOISSSSS!!!!"", which is the same reason i made a spot for Sane Twilighters, the link to which will not be posted on this spot for obvious reasons.

C.A.T. Is an escape from screaming fangirls and a place to rant, NOT an anti spot. It's a place to express yourself, twilighter or anti-twilghter, and your thoughts about twilight. If you don't like it, then you don't have to pay any attention to it, do you?
