To be honest, "True Blood" is almost exactly like "Twilight", but with the old vampires of legend (sunlight hurts them, staking, etc.) instead of the Cullens.
I've seen a "Science of the Movies" show on TV, and the host called Edward Cullen a "pansy" when they talked about "True Blood" CGI. I so wanted to slap that guy.
Whatever.."Twilight" made vampires cool again, so "True Blood"'s just cashing in. No, I have not watched it, nor will I. I prefer the sophisticated vampires of "Twilight", tyvm.
I like both stories ..though sometimes I get alittle tired of Sookie and Bill breaking up then getting back together then breaking up..at least Edward and Bella only did it once! :)

in the southern vampire mysteries sookie and bill don't even end up together...they break up after the first book.. bill and sookie both date other people after their fling.... so it's really not the same thing as edward and bella, who will be together forever.
yeah they do don't they.. i think it's for the hot make up (you know what), also i think it's for the dramatic effect. she also gets involved with both sam, and eric in the books.
