well male vampires are able to have children when Bella gets pregnant they realize that its one of the few things they don't lose once they are turned unlike female vampires that lose ability to have a children like in the human world when a female might get cancer and have to have surgery which takes away all possibility of having kids...i hope i didn't confuse you more just thought i would tell you my thoughts on it :)
