I remember I was completely enraged when he kissed her back then. I was shouting at my monitor, and felt like kicking Jacob in the...I`ll keep that part to myself. But now that I got the chance to look at things after knowing that Bella ends up with Edward and gets her happily ever after(and after reading that part with Jake` POV), I think that there was no other way for him-if he never tried he never would have known. I think what Stephenie wants us to understand trough Jake`s actions is that love is the only game we lose if we don`r play-so really makes a try...we can`t really blame him for wanting to be with the one he loved...
I don't think he had the right; but with how strong his feelings are toward Bella, he needed to find out for himself how she would react and feel to his kiss to see if he had any chance with her at all.
SO OUT OF ORDER!!!!!!!!! HE HAD NO RIGHT TO KISS HER UNLESS SHE WANTED IT!!! AND HE ALREADY KNEW THAT SHE HAD A BOYFRIEND, SO HE WAS BEING A JOKE!!(not that i don't like him, its just that it made me angry!!!)
i was mad at first but when edward came back i totally agreed with jacobs way of thinking, there are differnt ways of love as long as bella and edward live happily ever after
YES, i soooooo thought it was out of order,
in the book jacob said he just asumed that because he did not feel bella resist him he thought he carry on kissing her. (fool). I love the fact that she thumbed him one afterword, i would of done the same. Just goes to show you should'nt assume kissing someone like that is okay.
i think he was very out of order. But i got very excited after coz i was thinking OMG! What is edward going to do! I thought he was going to kill jacob! But all he done was threaten him.
I fell that, that was completely out of order. Jacob had absolutely no right to jump her and kiss her without her consent. I mean, I know that you never ask permission to kiss someone but I just mean that, he knew fine well that she was dating and in love with Edward and it was totally unjustified and uncalled for him just jumping her because he told her that he was in love with her and he decided that it would be okay to start swapping tongues, even though he knew she didn't feel the same way (I know he goes on saying "You love me too, Bella" but at that time I don't think that he felt Bella loved him the way he loved her). I get so angry everytime I read that part of Eclipse, the first time it was kind of unexpected to me at least, I thought he would just follow her and watch her to make sure she got back safely in case Victoria came back or something, or maybe just try to stop her from leaving so he could explain things to her and make sure that they were still friends or something but then BAM! Tonsil tennis! I actually nearly ripped the page and threw away the book but I knew how much she loved Edward so I kept going (reading, I mean) and I laughed to hard when she right- hooked him. I just thought he really deserved it. And this is not a biased report, really. I do actuially like Jacob but it's just what I feel.
