Twilight Series Question

Why do so many perfer the books over the movie?

I mean, I like the books and the movies equaly and so it makes no sense to me why some perfer the books. I understand it explains the stories more but..you know. Isn't it better to watch it then to read it?

Not really. When u read u see it all in your head any way and so that is what u like. Then when you go to the movie and it is so different than the book or how u saw it you dont like it as much. Thats what it is for me anyway.

Because in the book dere is so much more detail and it describes it more.. & in the book there is more parts in it.. But in the movie it describes less & doesn't show some of the parts that are in the book.. I think thats why so many perfer the books better than the movie.. But eighter way there both good the movie pervides pictures and sounds and the books pervide feelings and things that are not protrayed in the movie...

Becasue in a book there is more details and u can picture the scenes the way you would like it! Also in some movies they leave out parts. E.X in New Moon they leave out the part when Bella come home from Italy.

i hated that they left that outt of the movie.. But i see why they didnt put it in because it would of made the movie longer... :/ but they still should've put it in...

The books have more detail than the movies. And with a book, you can imagine things the way you want them to be, not a director's.But I do love both the same.

There is nothing better than sitting in a corner when its all quiet with a good book...a book that draws you in...a book that is so good that before you realize it..hours have passed...to me that is the absolute best! To let a 'movie' play in your mind. Books can allow for some much more details and where most most movies are usually not longer than 2 hours...a book can be 700 hundred papes and take days to read. I love when I'm getting breakfast or lunch that I can pick up a book that I've already read and reread my favorite parts. Love love love that!

But dont get me wrong..I truely love the movies...just love the books alittle bit more.

because its told in 1st person you get a deeper knowledge of what bella is thinking through the description in the book. Whereas in the film the only way you can get an idea of what a character is going through is by what they say aloud.
they've tried to incorporate what bellas feeling through voice overs and the letters to alice in new moon.

Obviously because the books have more detail, that's just the main thing. But also, the books tell the real story. They make the movies, and it's basically just a summary, an overview. The movies don't have every line, every thought, every description that the book has. In the movies, the story is often changed or cut up. But no matter what happens in the movies, the books are always going to be the real story. You can watch the movie after reading the book and say, "That didn't really happen". But the book tells us everything that really happened. The whole story, all of it. The book is like the truth, even if it is fiction, while the movie tends to exaggerate bend the truth. But despite what may happen in the movies, there's no denying the truth. If you ask someone if Alice kidnapped Bella, the movie will tell you no, but the book will tell you yes, and since the book is the truth, the answer is yes.
