What happens when Renee insists on seeing Bella and notices, oh not much, just that she's all white, perfect, GRACEFUL, has gold eyes, and hasn't aged? That she resembles all the other Cullens?
Well, the gold eyes can be fixed for short periods with contacts, the pale skin can be explained away by saying her "illness" caused her to be extremely prone to skin damage from the sun, so she's constantly covered up for the rest of her life.
She could fake being clumsy for Renee's sake, and her age-defying looks won't matter for another twenty or thirty years, plenty of women in their forties look like they're still 20. Maybe when the aging really starts to matter Renee will be too old and blind to notice how young her daughter still looks ;)

yup, you're right.. it would be better if they lie to Renee..
I actually think Renee will notice everything, Edward said it himself she has a very smart way of looking at things. Her mind is sharp, and i think that she can take it. After all she wished happiness to her daughter.
LOL! Bella is always saying that Renee is the perceptive one.. maybe she already has a certain feeling. Charlie may have let it slip a few times as well, you KNOW that she calls him everyday for news on Bella. She seems to be flighty enough to just accept things the way they are... and she would fall absolutely IN LOVE with Nesee. It would be easier for her than it would be for Charlie i think
