Hey have any of you noticed that Edward is not driving a silver volo in the movie but a black one?????

They gave away the silver volvo to a lucky fan on the Tyra show a while ago and they just decided to get a black one.

Yes. It was given away to a fan from one of the Twilight events who was trampled on.

In New Moon, Volvo made them use a different model, for promotion. Chris Weitz didn't want to try and pretend the volvo was the same with silver, he said he was afraid the fans would criticize him, so he chose a glossy, metallic black.

Though I hate that it isn't silver, Chris had the best intention. Lol The C30 was such a pretty car. Shoot, they could have gone with a silver s40. So.. if you want someone to blame, then blame VOLVO. But they're great cars :) I have one and it's amazing! haha

Yep...we knew about this last year when New Moon came out. :)

i think in the commentary it was said that the darker color of the volvo was meant to be because the movie itself along with Edward is dark and emotional..idk. haha like i said..i think thats what he said in the commentary

The only reason it is black is because he went in the Tyra Banks show and three girls had a contest whoever won would get Edward Cullen silver Volvo.
