Since this is the theatrical trailer, I hope to see a little of everything. Since there's no second teaser trailer, they don't have to tease the audience. I'm still questioning Summit's motives as to why they aren't releasing the 2nd trailer and skipping to the theatrical. Is it because they heard the fans' complaints about "too much footage"? Or that Summit is getting cocking and doesn't think they need to advertise as much due to the two previous movies' success?

Onto what I want in the trailer: I expect a little of everything and an overall view of the plot. That's what is supposed to happen in a final trailer. I think we'll see action and part of the "love triangle". Hopefully, the trailer isn't just a compilation of scenes thrown in. All I know is, that Summit has to have a strategy in marketing. I know Eclipse is popular and very anticipated, but but this is a risky move. If this trailer doesn't capture interest of the general public (those who aren't twilight fans), then the movie will only survive with the Twilight fans. Not saying that Twilight fans won't make the sales great, but I'm just saying, hopefully, Summit makes a good trailer to appeal to a wider audience since this is the final trailer and the audience has less material to go on.

i agree, though i think the reason they have gone straight to the theatrical is due to time. With new moon there was endless amounts of time for teaserrs/trailers/tv spots/exclusive scene previews etc but this time with the dvd release being in march and only a 6 month gap between new moon and eclipse rather than a whole year, there isnt enought time to do the same level of promotion as new moon had. personally i dont want to see too much- it'll take the excitment out of seeing the finished film

Summit always needs big productions when their trailers comes out. They can never just release it online on a regular day like other movies. And actually, there was the same amount of post-prod time with New Moon and Eclipse. New Moon finished filming in May. And they had about 6 months of post-prod. Eclipse finished filming in October. They also have 6 months of post-prod. There's honestly no reason why they shouldn't have 3 trailers. Plus, tv spots and exclusive scenes aren't even released until a couple weeks or a month til the movie comes out. They have no excuse. They were late on releasing the first trailer and I think that messed them up with trailers.
