Does a vampires hair grow?

This is SM's response: When someone becomes a vampire, it’s as if they are frozen exactly as they are in that moment. His or her (and we’ll go with her because it’s more central to this discussion) body no longer experiences change. Hair does not grow, nor do fingernails (if you cut your hair, you’re stuck. That’s why Alice’s hair is so short–it was growing back from being shaved in the asylum). This applies to all changes–so a woman would no longer have any kind of ovulation cycle. If she were already pregnant when she was bitten, both she and the fetus would be frozen in that state.

No, as their body is frozen in the state of when when they were bitten. It remains to be seen whether or not their hair can be cut, so I conclude that there is insufficient information to draw an accurate conclusion.

I don't believe so, nor can it be cut short or have extensions be added to it. I think this only applies to vampire hybrids since Renesmee's hair grew done to her waist in like 3 months :)

I dont think it does since technically they are dead. So their bodies would stop changing - which includes your hair growing. If they cut it, it would be stuck there since hair is dead cells.

i was thinking about this too and i saw that the first answer given said it all from what steph said so no vampires cant grow their hair.

Why would they not be able to put extensions in it? All that is, is clipping something in your hair or gluing to your scalp. I see no reason why they couldn't put extensions in, or style their hair differently. It's still hair-- it just doesn't change of its own accord, like hair naturally would.

A vampire's hair does not grow as they are frozen in the state they were bitten in. If they have short hair when they are bitten then they will forever have short hair and the same with long hair. Whatever state they were bitten in, they will be like that forever.

I believe their hair does grow! After we die, our hair and nails continue to grow. they are dead. So their hair and nails grow. everything else stays frozen. Females wont have their period but will still have to shave
