depends on the character I guess :) For example, I'm very optimistic person, but I love Meredith, and she's all dark & twisty. I don't like bit*** characters, but I really go for characters who are brave and also for those with a sense of humor...and if they can have a great speech and are kind of badass, it's absolutely awesome!

but it doesn't have to be like buffy.. i can save the world kinda tough.
It can also be though on the inside becouse they've been through so much.

But mostly my fave girls and girls with daddy issues or family issues (mostly daddy)

I like the tough girls! My favourite characters (also male ones) are always very strong, even if sometimes it seems like they're not.
Also my favourite characters usually have a difficult past (Kate Beckett, Temperance Brennan etc), but they don't "depend" on this. And they have a good sense of humor :)

I like female character who are assuringly confident, rebellious, good humoured , rudely sarcastic , tough as nails, courageous, feisty, cynical, emotionally detached, and abstruse

I don't care for female characters who are tittle-tattle, ,girly and gushy,boy crazy, clingy,idealistic,romantically-inclined and those who always wear their heart on their sleeve

I dislike female characters who are too angsty,perky whiny dramatic ,catty, and vapid in personality

A good show needs a mix of different characters

I mostly love complex and emotionally traumatized characters, that their personal growth is tied with the progress of the plot.

I like all types of female characters, but I especially like sweet, perky and quirky ones, mainly because that's the complete opposite of myself. I'm a sarcastic bitch. Don't really care for people like me.

It definitely depends on the character for me, although I seem to lean most heavily towards the bitchy, sarcastic, quirky, and/or independent.
