This question just occurred to me because on fanpop and out there in the real world there are some cases where people just agree to disagree, but then there are other fans that are just crazy either way. I have two sisters, one's a Jater the other one's a Skater (I HATE couple nicknames but I'm feeling lazy right now). It gets ugly in our house. My youngest sister (Skater) gets so mad if we even mention Jate around her. I'm a Shannon/Sayid shipper haha and don't watch Lost anymore. But I think this is the ugliest battle between TV Couples fans as well. I think it's even worse than Brucas and Leyton. I don't mind people getting heated of course, we all have different opinions, I just think it's odd how some rivalries are worse than others. Quick and Puckleberry fans are very civil in my opinion.

The JKS fight is really bad, but no one beats the BLP fight. Seriously. It gets way out of hand even though both the couples are gone. As I don't ship any of them, I don't see why people have to argue about it all the time. I can see the JKS fight though, cause that is for- and backwards from Jack to Sawyer all the time. But the Brooke/Peyton thing ended back in season 4 xD

Agree with kristine95, both couples are gone, and it's still going on and on. Everyone can have their own opinion, and fighting over two fiction couples is totally pointless. What I mean is a BL fan is still going to be a BL fan, and LP fan is still going to be a LP fan, despite all the fighting.

Out of these ones it's deffinatly Jate verses Skate but then again there's also Skate verses Suliet, or Team Edward over Team Jacob or Bangel over Spuffy or Cangel or Logan/Max over Alec/Max or DoVe over LoVe...the list is endless. lol

Brucas VS Leyton and Jate VS Skate are getting old!But the BLP fights are epic(in a bad way).There are some overobsessed fans,especially Brucas ones(no,I'm not a Leytoner),who go crazy about it!People,Brucas is over and Leyton is endgame.Plus,Leyton is gone.And as KathyHalliwell said if someone is a Leyton fan,he will continue to be,despite the fightings,and the same things goes for Brucas fans.
As far as Jate VS Skate is concered,I think these fights are more reasonable because none of these couples is endgame yet,so there is a chance for both of them.But still,everyone has an opinion.
Though,I think the problem itself it is that are some fans who insult other couples(seriously,there is no need for insults.People should express their opinion without bashing other couples,just because they ship the opposite couple),so the fans who ship the couple which this fan insulted they have no other alternative than defend their couple,so the fights start.

Huddy Vs Hameron And Brucas Vs Leyton

It depends on what's going on at the moment.

If there's not much hope for a couple, there's not going to be many arguments. But the second that starts to change, people get fierce.

Just look at the Nair vs. Chair battles going on at the end of last season..at the slightest hope for Nair their shippers came out of nowhere and it got ugly. And now we're back to hardly hearing anything. But people will be going at it once again if there's any hint of Nate & Blair to come.

^ not always... For example look at Leyton vs Brucas right now. There is officially no hope for Brucas left, since Lucas and Peyton are married, have a kid, and left the show together. But yet the Leyton vs Brucas battle is still going on. I think in a way, when there isn't much or any hope left for a couple... it makes the fanbase of that couple that much more determined to prove something. Like with BL/LP, since Leyton was endgame, it makes some Brucas fans that much more determined to argue that their couple is/was still great, even if they aren't going to end up together... you know?

The fanbase of the non-endgame couple won't want the fanbase of the endgame couple to automatically assume that their couple is better, just because they ended up together. The situation of having little to no hope left also triggers fans to argue why it SHOULD have been their couple together in the end, instead of another couple... so therefore, the battle continues lol

Definitly Brucas vs Leyton. I only started watching OTH a few weeks ago, but I actually new about the rivalry way before because it was so big, and have read some pretty ugly fights. I honestly don't understand the point of fighting like that - I understad if you want to have a specific respectful debate about the couples, but these two groups have had pretty aggeessive fights and a lot of times don't respect each others opinions. I don't go in the OTH spot, or any OTH webs or forums or wtvr, but I still have read very pointless fights were it becomes personal and fans insult each other...very immature in my opinion.
