What's the most heartbreaking scene your OTP has had?

Damon's dying and Elena is figuring out how much she loved him all that time and she kisses him with tears in her eyes.

I don't have a clip, but for me...it was when she, thinking he didn't love her in return gave a speech about how hard it was to love someone who didn't return the feelings.

When the girl said their time was unforgettable but it was over now, even though she said she loved him and part of her always wanted him. It's Sookie and Eric from True Blood btw. And all this whil Eric is standing right there, brokenhearted and vulnerable in front of freaking Bill. Just no. Close second is when he she told him she loved him, but loved Bill too. I'm not too upset about it anymore though because I'm confident they'll get back together. But I was pissed off at the time.

10/rose, there isn't even a contest, Doomsday easy. They get separated in parallel universes. The most heartbreaking scene was the "wall scene".

Spuffy had quite a few... From the attempted rape, to where she beat him up in Dead Things to the end of Chosen.

Hmm, I'd probably say this scene. It makes me cry every time and I think that mostly has to do with Bethany Joy Galeotti's incredible acting.

Not many people have Meredith & Derek as their OTP but I think many fans would consider this scene really heartbreaking:

so it would have to be the car scene where booth reject brennan after she opens her heart to him ( doctor in the photo)

This was the most heartbreaking scene because in a way she knows that he loves her and she sort of wants to hear him say it but he thinks that the best thing to do is to just let her go and let her be with the prince and they just gaze into each other's eyes and she think's that he betrayed her but he actually truly loves her and just wanted to be with her.

When Emily 'died' and Hotch had to say 'goodbye' to her and THEN lie to the rest of the team about her 'death' on Criminal Minds. Hotch and Emily aren't a couple but damnit they should be.

For me its when Auggie told Annie "I can literally hear you smiling", for the first time ever he was wrong.

Rumpelstiltskin and Belle from Once Upon a Time...there are several heartbreaking moments between these 2...and they've only had one full episode together!

I think him believing Regina (I still don't understand why he did so easily) about her being dead was the worst...especially when you learn that Regina's had her locked up all this time :(
And that parting shot Regina gives him after telling him Belle is dead "You should get a new girl". I love Regina but wanted to hit her in that scene!

I think it would be the meadow scene for Freddie/Effy: Effy is slowly going mad and falling deeper into the darkness not being able to handle the explosion of feelings that her love triggered and she finally - for the first time ever - reveals the nature of her problems and talks about her inner demons, how they were chasing her for her entire life and how she was able to hold them back when she shut herself off and built the walls around her heart, but once she opened up to Freddie the walls were gone and it "made her weak", as she explained it. Freddie, a boy who already lost his mother because of the same mental illness, would just listen to her no matter how hard it must have been for him especially after she basically blamed him for triggering her madness (a condition that was actually triggered by numerous psychological problems and issues she had been dealing with for her entire life long before meeting Freddie) and then in a desperate attempt to make her feel better and to show her that he would protect her from everything he runs in the middle of the park chasing away her imaginary "demons" saying that he will fight them. This scene breaks my heart in million pieces and honestly it is the best (imo) scene that Skins could ever come up with despite being a mediorce teen drama with a rather ridiculous plot.

Spike/Buffy shared a heartbreaking scene when Buffy finally told him she loved him and he replied "No, you don't, but thanks for saying it" - it was mostly heartbreaking because she finally opened up to him about her feelings but he rejected it despite being about to die. He chose to die for her like a hero without asking anything in return and without even believing that she ever loved him.

when Cordy said goodbye to angel, and then he found out she was never really there, and that she had been dead. That was the end of the show.

my OTP is Chloe and Oliver from Smallville, and the most heartbreaking scene (at least for me) is towards the end of the Season 10 opener "Lazarus":

it starts at an off-road site, somewhere in the dark. The first we see is just a pair of feet (which belongs to Oliver), then we see two cars (kind of government-issued SUVs) with their headlights on, standing opposite each other at the site. From both cars, two veiled figures, one smaller, one taller (Oliver), start walking towards the opposite car. Right in the middle, they brush each other with the left side, but don't react, just continue to walk. Cut to the inside of the cars, right when the veils fall. The smaller person is revealed as Chloe, who exchanged herself for Oliver. Their expressions, one utterly sad, the other a mix between horror and disbelieving, are so sad that I almost started to cry when I saw that scene. The fact that absolutely no words are spoken during the whole exchange only adds to the fact. I only can recommend to watch that scene for yourself, but be prepared!

Their goodbye when Damon died was very heartbreaking.
Close second would be Damon's first "I love you" that he compelled Elena to forget.

I think this scene actually broke me.

When Toby proposed to Happy in the S2 finale and she said no because she was married to someone else.
