My current favorite are the banana crisps -- like a thin light version of banana chips. Fabulously addicting!

I like the frozen Chicken Pad Thai bowls. They go for about 3 bucks.

Anyone else have favorite items for quick/easy meals at Trader Joe's?

quick/easy meals - gosh, that's pretty much about everything at TJ's! i really like the frozen mandarin orange chicken. just pop in the toaster oven, or stir fry, then pair with some frozen broccoli and TJ's frozen jasmine rice. yum!

oh and their frozen tamales are great too! only 2-3 mins in the microwave and they're steaming hot and ready to go!

i could go on and on. ;)

quick/easy meals: any of their simmer sauces. i esp like their mojito, moroccan, and masala sauces. just throw in chicken and whatever else you've got in your fridge.

other faves: frozen quiches, herbed & frenched rack of lamb, rio red grapefruit juice, green tea gelato

another staple of mine is their prewashed produce, especially the broccoli and cauliflower combo. they also have green onions, chopped onions, and various herbs, plus a variety of other conveniently packaged items!

Let's see...since we do all of our grocery shopping at TJ's, it's hard to say what our favorites are. Hmm. We do tend to get a few "easy" items, like the Rolled Chicken Tacos, the chicken taquitos, the frozen pizzas. Yes, the produce is generally fresh, but you have to be careful to make sure it's ripe (more so than at other markets). I've particularly noticed this with berries.

But where TJ's really, really shines is in dessert items. I can't say enough good stuff about the Villa Italia Blood Orange soda (caution: *consistently* sells out) and the UFO's chocolate mint wafers (by Ghirardelli). Chocolate caramels are very good, too: pretty much of any of the confections-in-a-tub are good. But really, try the italian blood orange soda and the UFO's chocolate mints.

Trail mix with white chocolate chips and some other stuff!

Also, carrots with ranch dip and celery with peanut butter.

Mochi is cheap too!

Hmmm.... we always get the frozen shrimp, frozen asparagus, and the masala simmer sauce is pretty excellent for a "desparation dinner". But I'm always picking up tigersmilk bars and salads for work, too.

i love how they carry items that other places carry, but for less! for example: fage greek yogurt, barbara's puffins cereal, kashi cereal, babybel cheese, various wines and liquors...

i am obsessed with the tj collection of crackers and spreads. they bring me inner peace and happiness. a life without tj's is a life of suffering, and we all want happiness and do not want suffering. a world with free access for all to tj's delicious spreads is one of true harmony between individuals. for who will not reach Nirvana with pita crisps and red pepper eggplant spread? btw, clara i also loooove puffins -- the cereal and the animal. their black and white plumage, which resembles monastic robes, hits home for me. but out of the box, the are to reincarnate for.
