Authors note: this couple is so weird, but that might be why i'm so happy about them. not to mention, seeing scott a VILLAIN be so sweet to courtney someone he'd never had any previous interaction with got me skeptic. i was a hardcore DXC fan before this now im kinda liking this pair more. so without further ado i give you courtney and scotts first fan fiction. (Takes place during the competition)

Courtneys pov

He held my hand. i was pretty sure it was an accident, but his face said it all. Does... Does scott like me? uh this thought is crazy stupid. he's probably using me to get ahead in the game. its too risky to trust anyone at this point. i was pondering this when my thoughts were immediately interupted by Gwen tapping me on the shoulder.

"Hey. you ok? you've been zoned out for a while and-"

"Im fine its nothing."

"but you look so-"

"ITS NOTHING."

Gwen's facial expression remained the same. its almost like she was pitying me. as if i need the sympathy. but now that we made up i should try harder to keep her vote.

"Listen Gwen, im sorry i was just... i don't know i guess i just spaced. i didn't mean to snap at you. especially since you helped me with the vote and all."

"Its ok.... why did you want to vote off Alejandro any way?"

(my mind flashed back to Heather in the fun zone.
"glad i found you, Alejandro's convincing everyone to vote for scott. but don't worry my votes for Alejandro.")

"I was just protecting a valuable asset to our team... that's all."

"so you were protecting Cameron?"

"What? no, what would make you think that?"

"Well Heather said that Alejandro was convincing everyone to vote for Cameron. So if you weren't protecting him then who else was in danger?"

"Uh you know what? It's getting late we should get to bed."
I hastily replied climbing up my bunk. "Besides even though we lost we'll still have a good night sleep with heather gone."

"Heh, your right. better take advantage of this while it lasts. good night courtney."

" yea.. good night."

with that last word i rolled over and tried to sleep, but my thoughts kept sneaking up on me.

Scotts pov.

only a five of us left... how is this supposed to go on any longer? eventually one of us has to go.... but I'm not sure i want to see her go. especially now.
thinking of the face she made after i grabbed her hand. could she possibly like me... more than an allie?

"You know scott? i noticed your vote for me? have i displeased you amigo?"

Great. i almost forgot about him. now i have to worry about Alejandro backstabbing us...

"No, no. it was just a spur of the moment thing... Heather had us convinced you know how she is."

"I suppose i can understand that." He paused. and looked at a stick i had been whittling. ironically in the shape of a C, something i had done without thought."I also understand that you have a thing for courtney."

"I have no idea what your talking about."

"relax my friend, I only desire to help you. how about we make a deal? you vote with me. and i'll help you keep her safe."

"Sounds like a good deal.. if i cared about her."

"Deny it all you want. but remember. i control her safety. and yours. i'm invincible."

"for now." i muttered.

"Watch it farm boy. and sleep with one eye open."

I rolled my eyes at this and went to sleep. he wouldn't vote off courtney. would he?
