"So, who ya gonna ask to the Girl's Choice dance?" Alani Miller asked. The girl with blonde hair was always chasing down the latest couple gossip in our circle. "Don't know. I don't really like anyone." I replied. "Don't lie, Katani. We all know you are in love with Nathan Cameron." Nathan happens to be one of my closest friends in our group. Alani's blue eyes narrowed like she could read my mind, which was covered with hearts just like my notebook at the mention of his name. "You wuv him!" my friend Akiko Johnson said, appearing from nowhere. Akiko was resident crazy to everyone outside our circle of friends. But to us, she was the life of our party. Her green eyes widened as she twirled one of her blonde curls amongst her orange locks. Akiko was alot like her mom. "I DO NOT"I shouted. Then I realized I was in the school hallway. "Right. Come on. You could basically write KC+NC on your forehead and it wouldn"t make a difference." Alani spoke. "Yeah, fine. I like him. But that does NOT mean that I have the guts to ask him out! I said just to get them off my backs about it. I fiddled with one of the green streaks in my light brown hair and wondered: Does he like me back? I rememered the time in middle school when nobody could resist my ice blue eyes. In fact, those eyes are the reason that my mom always came back to my dad when they were my age. And when we were like 4, Nathan always got nervous when talking to me. I think he liked me then. But does he still? Then the bell rang signaling lunch.I walked with my friends Kimi and Harmony as well as Alani and Akiko. Harmony is Nathan's twin sister. She was very shy and sweet, like her mom, but sometimes she becomes a whole oher person around our frind Dylan.
Here's a history lesson about all of us. We met at some reunion for a reality show our parents were on when they were 16. We were abou 2 at the time. We were best friends ever since. We had other friends in out circle, too, but one of them moved to Virginia to go to some all girls boarding school and the other moved to New York when she was 3. A little about us now. Starting with Alani- She has blonde hair, blue eyes, and is always searching for the latest romantic gossip. She is always up for a party and loves hangin at the beach and surfing. Harmony is really shy but when romance calls, she is bright eyed and bushy tailed and becomes a fun girl to hang with. She has black hair and bright green eyes and very pale skin. Nathan's her twin brother. He also has black hair, but a part of it is dyed blue. He has dark eyes and did I mention he's REALLY cute? I love him. DON'T TELL HIM I SAID THAT OR YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF IN A FULL BODY CAST TOMORROW! Dylan has blue eyes and blond hair. He likes sprots, but he really sucks at anything athletic. If straght F's was in the Olympics, give him a gold medal. Kimi is probably the most normal of all of us. She's always looking for a boyfriend. She has brown hair and dark eyes. Her skin is on the tanner side and she is your typical fangirl. Akiko, well, she is a redhead with nice curly hair. She also has natural blonde highlights in her curls. Her favorite hoby is hanging upside down off of anything. She is the life of our party, though. And me, um, I have brown hair like my mom, but i streaked it green .I have ice blue eyes like my dad, and from what I hear my eyes are practically irrasistable. I am pretty free-spirted and stuff, but I have an uptight side when I get mad. Well, thats all you need to know about us. Back to our story!
I sat at our table next to Nathan, who was already there with Dylan. I have to ask him i thought. "Hey" He said as i sat myself down next to him. " Hey, um, I was wondering, um, do you, uh, want to go to the Girl's Choice dance with me?" I asked very nervous. I lokked around our table. Harmony's eyes widened, her mouth gaping. Akiko just smiled her smile, Alani had a 'YES!!' look on her face, Kimi was holding back an 'Are you serious' laugh, and Dylan did the same as Harmony. "Sure!" He said. "R-really?" I stuttered?
FF TO DANCE
It was the night of the dance. I wore a black dress with a green skirt. Nathan took me out to the gardens behind our school. " Katani, um..." Nathan started to say. "Yes, what?" I asked. "I liked you ever since I met you. There." He replied. I just blushed. He was about to say something else when I did what I thought I'd never have the chance to do. I kissed him. "You talk too much." I said. Then we went back to the dance.
