Their wings sparkles in the light of the moon, and they smiled their evil, poison smiles, the smiles of vampires, pearl white pointy fangs dripping with venom. Three sets of black leather wings unfolded and stretched. The three girls yawned and landed on the ground, the long black wings sliding back into their flesh.

Once I got to the meter planks, Heather was arguing with Justin and Chris about the challenge being suicidal. I started tiptoeing onto my plank, and it started shaking. "Don't look down, don't look down, don't look down..." I told myself.

Heather sighed and started walking across the plank as if it was no problem. I wasn't even halfway across when she was fully across, then I looked down.

"So long, sucker!" Heather said, and ran away.

Finally, the competition was over, and it was down to me and Heather. Big shocker. But I was also sad that Duncan wasn't there by my side.

Chris lead Heather and I to a theatre-like arena thingy. Two sets of bleachers were set facing each other, one with a picture of Heather and the other with a picture of me. There was a white finish line near the bleachers, so I knew this had to be a race of some sort. But that would be a piece of cake. I'm the fastest female runner at this camp. This was gonna be way too easy.

The long flight to America felt like an eternity. I was so bored without Duncan. Usually, I'd have so much fun with him on a date; him cracking jokes about our relationship status and making me laugh, him being my protector of any harm.
