In which I completely contradict my last fanfic xD

Baldwin C. Tag. He was a gentle soul, intelligent, that would do the world wonders some day. He couldn't hurt a fly, nor would he want to. His soul was a pure one, and his intentions weren't in any way wicked. And it seemed like there existed not one person on the earth quite like him.
To a normal person, this would be a mound of information very hard to acquire, certainly enough to know about a person. Especially when it comes to someone like Silent B, who seldom feels the need to socialize. But this was just a small fraction of information to the peculiar little blonde who had recently befriended him.
Dawn was troubled by this. The above facts were the only things that she knew about him. Usually Dawn could spend a few minutes just being in the presence of someone - study their movements, hear them talk, take in their souls, and she would know just about everything there was to know about them. Their life stories, thoughts, intentions - they would just jump out and enter Dawn's mind, where she could carefully store and memorize them.
But there was something different about Silent B. She couldn't get a good grasp on him at all. She could tell the simple things by studying him, those were things that she could get from anyone. This was troubling because she could read anyone, even if she didn't want to. It was like everyone's souls just attached themselves to her, feeling invited by her calm spirit. So Dawn would usually toss and turn and night in her bunk, wondering why this one person was so hard to figure out.
Silent B certainly contradicted himself often. He had a love for technology, and loved to explore things as they advanced and became more and more intricate. But he also seemed to like to get away from all of that enjoy nature, where things were simple and understandable. He also seemed like he was a calm person who could stroll through life with ease to most people. But from time to time Dawn would catch him staring off into space, deep in thought, and she sensed what seemed like doubt, as if the "strolling through life" was more like "walking around aimlessly."
He was definitely a complex person, even if the impression that he'd given people said otherwise. Dawn looked at the moon through the skylight ("Skylight" meaning a large hole in the ceiling that Chris had made after he'd dropped a safe onto the cabin) and she could tell that it was definitely getting too early in the morning for her to not be asleep yet.
"Okay," Dawn thought, "This is a matter that I shouldn't be loosing sleep over.. Although Dakota's snoring isn't helping the matter either. I'm going to swear to myself - I will have him figured out before this season is over with."
She tried to fall asleep, tried to bury her head deep in the pillows, but she just couldn't sleep. She needed to know. Why? Why was B such a complex soul? And then it hit her, all at once. Like a huge gust of wind with enough power to blow her away.
Knowing everything there is to know about someone else can make a person bored with them very quickly.
Dawn had always been a caring person, but even she knew that the monotonous routine that most of her friends had gotten her into was very predictable nowadays. Whenever they'd confide in her for help with their problems, she'd find herself thinking "This is the same thing as last time. It is simple enough to solve on your own, I shouldn't have to think for you."
Dawn had drifted apart from a lot of friends for that reason. They were too predictable and she grew tired of them.
But Silent B was different. Maybe she was destined to meet this one person, so she could spend her days learning about him, gaining more knowledge... This boy, Baldwin C. Tag, met her by fate. The soul purpose of their paths crossing was so Dawn could have someone to set her sights on and never get bored of. This boy was a puzzle. A puzzle of a million pieces - that Dawn would spend a lifetime putting together.
When she finally figured it out, her mind cleared and she fell into a deep slumber. It was the best she'd slept since coming to that horrible island.
