I have great news! Today (december 1st 2010) I was looking at the magazines and spotted one called the Empire. its some magazine about new movies or something... anyway the top scoop was about the latest Tintin movie! Yes! A new Movie!
The article said it is being mde my the two biggest names in movie history. Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson.
As some of you might be aware, Steven made the Tintin cartoons in the 90's and Peter has been a huge Tintin fan since he was a little boy. So this Directing Duo should do Herge proud.
The movie is going to be in 3D which is a vast improvement from the movie "Tintin and the lake of sharks" which was... well... how to put this kindly... a bit off? Never mind.
What intersets me is that they are using performance capture suits to make the movie.Doing that insted of the classic hand drawn fotage means the animation will look real and can be seen in 3D. But there is a problem, a big one, in doing so it wouldnt look like Herge's signeter style. Will they get away with it?
Jamie Bell is taking on the role of Tintin with Andy Serkis as the one and only Captain Haddock. But my question is can they triumph to bring these heros of the comic book world to life? or will they fail like the lost soles before them? If your on the same boat as me you will have to wait until 26 of october 2011 to see.
