First, we have 6 fairies. Let's keep the even number. This may sound stupid, but having too many winx girls will result in the animators not being able to squeeze them all in one shot. May cause misunderstandings.
Second, isn't Roxy too young comparing to the rest of them? I mean, she was going to attend Alfea at the end of season 4, right? How can she wander around fighting bad guys when she's hitting the books at Alfea? Given that the winx have already graduated.
Third, will having Roxy be any more interesting for the show? She's like a copy of Bloom. Let me show you: They're both from Gardenia, unaware of their magical abilities. Both Bloom and Roxy have been possessed by evil forces (Bloom: By Darkar and she became what we call Dark Bloom, and Roxy: Possessed by that white circle thing.) They're both lost princesses of some mysterious planet. Bloom and Roxy both used emotions to summon their Enchantix and Believix, respectively, earning the transformations the special way.
Let's keep in mind that Roxy's similarity to Bloom is NOT a good thing, since then the characters would lose their originality, and Bloom isn't very loved by the fans to begin with.

She's a little too young, and she wants to protect her family. Anyway, when did ANY of us here thy she wanted to go to Alfea? She never said anything about wanting to go there in the last episode.
She stayed with her parents and anyways, there isn't going to be a season 5 anyway. You saw what Nickodeon did to the show. Just took all the seasons, shook em all up and dumped em all out; And that's what 'their' version is. Plus, we didn't see Roxy in the 2nd movie which proves my point that she did NOT want to go to Alfea.
For the similarity to Bloom, it's really not her fault. Indigo didn't have any more ideas, so they made Roxy very similar to her. Can't blame her for that now can we?
Strange, I remember her telling Faragonda she would love to attend Alfea at the end of the last episode of season 4. And about season 5, I heard a lot of rumors that Nick will co-produce seasons 5 and 6. But now that you mention their version, I might have to think this over.
