Mary Sue: Bloom gets angry very easily. She was the last to get her Winx, last to get her Enchantix. Barring Musa she’s had some of the biggest relationship troubles and she can be very suspicious; for example, she sneaks into Redfountain and immediately assumes that Diaspro is Icy in disguise.
Ruined Sky and Diaspro ship: I don’t know if anyone’s seen Diaspro lately, but she is NOT the best girlfriend material, unless you like your fiancees self-obsessed and with an ego the size of Jupiter. Sky himself, after losing his memory and meeting her again, is bored by her because all she ever does is look out for number one. Not to mention that it appears Sky and Diaspro had an arranged marriage.
Once again, ‘gets in the way of’ becomes a reason to hate a character.
Tons of toys of her but barely any for the other girls: This is what happens when little kids like one character more than another. It’s called capitalising the market, exploiting it. Bloom is more popular? More Bloom dolls! It would be the same if Flora was the most popular, or Tecna.

I actually think both are. I actually think season 1 was the only season that she wasn't narcissistic. Honestly if I suddenly discovered magic I would not do what Bloom did. But I wouldn't go 'life goes on' either. I'd maybe show like one or two friends. But other than that I'd keep it to myself and just try to teach myself to use the powers. Honestly, the last thing I want is a crapload of people to know about them. And I honestly wouldn't want to know where they came from. I'd just be content knowing I had powers at all. Now if I was told I was adopted, yes I'd ask questions, but I wouldn't drag my friends into it. Nor would I bring it up every time my friends was sharing their problems. Legit, when Stella talked about her parents' divorce or Musa talked about her mother's death Bloom would always cut in and pull the 'I don't even know who I am' crap and everyone would be all 'boohoo' Bloom and forget that the others were having problems. At least Stella dropped her self-centeredness when Musa shared her sad story. At least Stella let Musa get some comforting before she talked about her parents. And it's not just in season 1, it got worse as the show went on. Even after she found out who she was. After that it was 'I'm having Sky trouble.' In season 3 it was 'I'll never get my enchantix." And season 5 it was Sky problems again, all the while Layla's whole realm was under attack. And then there's the fact that she had to be the lead singer in the band. Musa is the fairy of music for crying out loud, isn't she supposed to be the lead singer?

Now she uses it to put on silly shows, she uses it when she doesn't have to. I'll give her credit, in season 1 she was more insecure, but by season 6 all her flaws were striped away and she has no insucrities what so ever. That's Daphne now. Bloom used to her inscurities, and that was good for her character. But somewhere in season 3 she became something akin to a big shot. She always had to have the final say, she always had to call the shots. Now one would debate that that's what a good leader does; but a good leader also listens to what his/her team has to say as well.
The correctness of the 'none of her friends’ problems matter' statement is definitely not incorrect. You can say that you disagree, but you cannot say it's a fact--as my reasons for believing the opposite are just as good (and also just as debatable) as yours. That statement is very subjective. In the above paragraphs I gave my reasons to believe that she does have this air of 'my problems are worse and more important than yours'. Notice how her problems are always solved before any of the other girls'. They prioritize the problems and for some reason they always make her problems the top priority. Even if it's just her boyfriend troubles (like I said above, they were all worrying about Sky/Diaspro/Bloom as Layla's realm was being assaulted). As for risking her life to save them. Yes she's done that a few times, but her friends definitely dropped their problems for her many more times. She was the one who had Sky go with her to Cloud Tower in season 1. She was the one who made them all go to Sparks with her. She was the one who dragged them all down with her when she had that fight with Diaspro.

She has so much screen time that her fellow Winx like Tecna and Musa hardly have any background either. Like legit, we know that Bloom was 16 in season 1 and liked extra-cheese pizza--yet we don't even know the official age of the Trix, we can only guess based on the fact that Icy mentions they're seniors in college (which varies dub to dub). And let's not forget who gets most of the credit after final battles. Bloom is such a Sue that even the people she upstaged give her the most credit for something they all did together with equal contribution. Tecna sacrificed her life for Tides she gets a few claps. Bloom believes in herself and she gets a party. In every season finale it's 'woo hoo Bloom saved us all' not 'yay the Winx saved us'. And then there's the recent God forsaken Bloomix, if that isn't upstaging all the characters I don't know what is!

She'll usually have some tragic past that led her to become a warrior, and she'll upstage all of the Canonical characters with her mad Sueish powerz. Is this not Bloom though? Her planet imploaded and was frozen over, she's the last survivor. Tragic past cliche alert! And of course we have the all mighty flame, so ridiculously powerful, it is the source of all magic and cannot be taken away no matter what! So insanely Sueish it gets it own hotdamn transformation! Holy cow, this made me so mad, the fact that all the Winx lost there powers and then here's Bloom livein' it up with her insufferably powerful dragon flame. Icy's lucky she lost it, she doesn't need the power of the Sue!
Mage!Sue: Similar to the Warrior!Sue, the Mage!Sue has amazing stregnth in magic, or has a magical power that nobody else has. She'll usually wind up upstaging all of the magical characters of the series.
This one goes directly with the above and for the same reasons. But since it came up again, let's mention that she always gets the easy way of attaining new powers.
Misfit!Sue: This includes all Sues who are supposedly geeks, nerds, misfits, etc. Usually, the Misfit!Sue doesn't start out as inhumanly beautiful, but winds up getting a makeover and finding out she had the potential to be a guy-magnet (or girl-magnet, depending on the genre) all along. Also includes the "My parents want me to do this but I want to do that and it's not fair!!one!" A.K.A Season 1 Bloom. Teased by Mitzi and what not. Also not exactly the most popular girl in school. That quickly changed in season 2--exactly what I meant by they regressed her character! And by all means when she got a bike instead of a car she pulled the OMG that's no fair card. So by all means she did start of as more of a nerd and then got the total hero makeover.
The only one she doesn't fall under is Punk/Goth!Sue.
And I would also like to mention that she has the perfect life, not even kidding any problem she had from season one was solved. And I'm not talking minor problems either, I'm talking the ones that actually gave her a little depth unsolved. Like--oh I don't know--the fact that she was the last of her people. But nope by the end of the first movie Sparks was restored all shiny and new again, along with her parents (which by they way she totally replaced her adoptive parents--the ones who raised, fed, and clothed her) with. And by the end of season 5 her sister was alive again, and to all of our surprise caught the Sue!
It is way to easy to tell who the writer's favorite is, and that is not a good thing in any fictional work.
Like I'm really sorry for this rant guys, but this whole thing really grinds my gears! I'm a noob writer, I haven't been published, and even I know this type of character is bad. Even I know that an author shouldn't make favoritism obvious, and I'm a woman of many biases!
She did ruin that ship. She legit came in and took someone's husband to be. She could have been a great girlfriend, but she never got the chance did she? She came in, in season 1 and offered to save him during the final battle. That would be like being in the middle of the apocalypse and then risking your life to go and save your lover. Of course she's not the best marital now. Why? Because her man was stolen from her before she had a chance. And I guess that is what Sky is into, because that's the kind of girl he has now.
I honestly don't care to debate this one because I don't really buy an Winx toys. It isn't the greatest reasons, but it is a reason none the less. For me it's just another thing to a super long list.

And I'm not talking minor problems either, I'm talking the ones that actually gave her a little depth unsolved. Like--oh I don't know--the fact that she was the last of her people. But nope by the end of the first movie Sparks was restored all shiny and new again, along with her parents (which by they way she totally replaced her adoptive parents--the ones who raised, fed, and clothed her) with. And by the end of season 5 her sister was alive again, and to all of our surprise caught the Sue!
It is way to easy to tell who the writer's favorite is, and that is not a good thing in any fictional work.
Like I'm really sorry for this rant guys, but this whole thing really grinds my gears! I'm a noob writer, I haven't been published, and even I know this type of character is bad. Even I know that an author shouldn't make favoritism obvious, and I'm a woman of many biases!
She did ruin that ship. She legit came in and took someone's husband to be. She could have been a great girlfriend, but she never got the chance did she? She came in, in season 1 and offered to save him during the final battle. That would be like being in the middle of the apocalypse and then risking your life to go and save your lover. Of course she's not the best marital now. Why? Because her man was stolen from her before she had a chance. And I guess that is what Sky is into, because that's the kind of girl he has now.
I honestly don't care to debate this one because I don't really buy an Winx toys. It isn't the greatest reasons, but it is a reason none the less. For me it's just another thing to a super long list.
Anyhow, I don't mean for this to come off as rude or hateful or as I'm calling you out or something. Not my intent. As far as I know you're don't mind debating with me. Correct me if I'm wrong.
