Um, heck yeah.

Winx Club is just basically a cash cow by now. They've stopped trying ever since season 4, and everything that they've produce afterwards has come with minimal effort. Even the merch that they tried to push out isn't that great in quality (and I hardly see any of the dolls anymore, so that shows you how popular those were to begin with). The show has become pandering, and they're exploiting everything that makes it remotely "girly"--and I hate using that term to begin with.

It's a "girl" show, let's just pander to that common denominator: transformations x 10,000; new outfits constantly; everyone is in love; let's put some nice morals to go buy!

I swear, the lack of respect that they've been showing their audience lately is astonishing. "polluting is bad! so let's sing a 5 minute musical number cuz we're basically fERNGULLY 5". The lessons 'learned' in season 5-7 have almost been as bad as those half-assed teachings that the DiC dub crammed into the end of their Sailor Moon episodes.

"We all know that reading makes you smarter. So why don't you pick up a good book and start reading that, instead of watching this mind-numbing garbage?"

^Crap, I thought you weren't joking about the Ferngully 5 thing. I looked it up. Thank God it doesn't exist. And I agree, this show is pretty much a cash cow by now. I haven't seen season 6 since the first few episodes and I haven't seen any of season 7. Looks like I'm not missing much.

Okay, I know I usually don't make very negative comments about this show, but this is something I can't argue with. Ever since season four, the show has been getting more fake and gimmicky with every episode. The show may have a lot of potential to be something worth watching, but sooner or later the fans are gonna get tired of watching crappy, cheesy garbage. Even the hardcore fans are starting to see that the show is basically only there to give the younger audience what they want to see, throw in an "lesson" about protecting the environment, and make money for Nickelodeon. Also, not only is it obvious that Iginio has gotten super lazy about writing his characters and storylines, he doesn't develop the characters at all. They're basically the same as they were at the end of season three. He clearly doesn't care at all about giving the characters a personality. He makes all the Winx weaker than Bloom, so that when they're on a mission or fighting the villians, Bloom always saves the day and steals the spotlight. In fact, that is my arguing point for Flora not being weak. It's because Iginio writes her that way. He always holds her back so that Bloom can be the savior. If Flora wasn't constantly pushed aside to make way for Bloom, she would probably be as (or even more) powerful than Bloom. And, not only does he seem to feel no need to develop any of the Winx besides Bloom, he also clearly hates all the villains (mainly the Trix.) After season four, all the villains have basically been nothing but punching bags for the Winx (Bloom in particular.) All the plotlines are the same: The Winx meet a villain, they go on a "mission", Bloom beats the villain with some crappy CGI transformation, and they learn some moral at the end. But the thing that most annoys me is how much potential this show has that Iginio just doesn't see. The characters are great (when developed and not used as plot devices) and the world that Iginio has created is probably one of the best settings for a TV show that I've ever seen. But seriously, if Iginio doesn't start taking advantage of all this potential, then there really is no point in this show existing anymore. Rainbow needs to stop using it as a cash machine and make it something that fans of all ages can enjoy.
