Icy, particularly if she could get her hands on the dragon fire again. She summoned a magical army of centuries of rot and decay. She destroyed Red Fountain. She's tried to take over the world and came pretty close 3 times. Season 5 is the only thing that makes me question this; but season 5 was a disappointment and made me question all of the characters...

That's only if she could get her hands on the dragon fire again, and there's no guarantee that she would. I'm kinda torn, though. They're both powerful. Although, I think Faragonda might have the upper hand if Icy doesn't have the dragon flame, since Faragonda has had more experience.

But Icy was at the top of her class without the dragon fire. Griffin stated in episode 17 (RAI version) that she was disappointed that she had to let such talented students go. Not to mention she was powerful enough to face off the one holding the dragon fire and steal it. She's faced Bloom (supposedly the most powerful character though I disagree to the fullest) and beat her multiple times in seasons 1 and 3. Don't get me wrong Fargonda's good too, but she is sitting behind a desk a lot.

That's true. You make a good point. However, you should note that Icy had Darcy and Stormy's help when she took Bloom's powers.

Also true, but Faragonda sent 5 high school (or were they in college) girls to fight in her place in the last few seasons, where as Icy was more direct in her attacks. And when she was facing Darcy and Stormy she got aid from the other two headmasters. So they are pretty even.

Faragonda may be experienced... but she is very old now to take on Icy...

Faragonda would obviously win.Episode 16 of season 1 is a proof of that,the Trix ran away when Faragonda wanted to fight against them.
