Hi everyone! I'm not that active on this club, but I just finished re-watching Winx and wanted to point out some things that I hate about seasons 5, 6 and 7.
Before I begin, I want to point out that this is just my opinion and I'm not trying to hate on anyone who likes these seasons and I'm not calling these seasons trash. All I'm saying is that they're a lot worse than the first 4 and even season 8 is better in my opinion, despite the art style everyone complains about.
Ok, so first thing that kinda bothered me: Roxy never actually joined the Winx. So, considering the end of season 4 and beginning of season 5, I think Roxy should have been officially part of the Winx. But they just left her at Alfea for the rest of season 5 and all of season 6, and even though she was in season 7, she got left out on all the new power even though she did a lot of stuff to help. It is really annoying how they forgot her, replaced with Daphne (not saying there's a problem with Daphne though) and then treated her bad once they needed her again.
Second, the new outfits really suck. Why does everyone look exactly the same?? And why is such a big portion of every episode Stella deciding what everyone should wear? I remember season 1 when Tecna and Musa still wore pants. Now everyone is wearing sparkle dresses and high heels.
Transformations also lost their appeal. Like, why do they need to transform so many times?? If I was to be honest, I think they should have just stopped at Enchantix, or even Charmix because they were plenty powerful back then and their spells had better names, too. Up until now I still don't even understand the point of Bloomix except that it was there as a replacement for the Winx losing their Sirenix (which they kinda didn't need because they already had Harmonix, which they also didn't really need because they have Layla/Aisha whose power is literally WATER).
Next, the villains are weak and stupid. Trittanus is pathetic. Silena is not even evil. Kalshara and Brofillius are the lamest antagonists I've seen in a long time. Even the Trix' role have been downgraded. Now Icy is very clingy and stupid and have an annoying voice. SHE USED TO BE SMART AND INDEPENDENT. WHAT DID THEY DO TO HER????
Last thing is the PLOT. It's really confusing and a little messed up. Season 5 was kinda crazy because there were so many themes in there that I lost track of what was going on. Basically, all I remember is there is a ugly dude that Icy fell in love with and they are trying to take over the world while dumping a bunch of gross stuff on Earth. And the Winx try to stop them by teaming up with small mermaid things to find another new power and clean up trash. Like, what?? Season 6 is better, I think, mostly because the rest of them get more screen time and not just Bloom telling them what to do :p Season 7 is better than 5 but it is very pointless what they did in that whole season.
