AN: Hello Winx fans! I received a request from link to write a Winx fan fiction on Flora and the Winx. I accepted, and I just want to say how terribly sorry I am for being so late on this. If you're mad at me for taking so long, I wouldn't blame you. But, I've been terribly busy with school, family and work so... I have an excuse. Plus, I needed to have an idea for this fan fiction, and I didn't get a good one until today. So, here's chapter one. OH! This whole story takes place shortly after season 3. So, the girls will be in their Enchantix still, but, I may change a few events for some characters to be present in my story. Hope you enjoy.

Flora's hair blew in the wind as she flew after her friends; their wings leaving trails of fairy dust as they flew. The girls made there way towards a large cave made up of crystals. "If you don't mind me asking, why are we going here?" Stella asked, furrowing her eyebrows to see the cave better. "Weren't you paying any attention to Faragonda?" Tecna scolded. "Does she even need to answer that question?" Layla joked, earning chuckles from the rest.

"Stella, if we must explain this to you again, Faragonda told us that she was getting some calls from others that they were feeling strong magical disturbances from this area. Since we are her most trusted elite and the strongest, she sent us to go check it out." Musa explained slowly, as if to a child. Stella nodded, and kept her gaze focused on the cave.

"What do you think could be causing the disturbances?" Flora asked, her silence over the past hour ending. "Who knows: creature gone berserk, wizard, fairy not being able to control her powers... Could be a whole lot of things." Bloom guessed, the others nodding in agreement.

When they arrived at the mouth of the cave, they all landed and made their way inside. "Boy this place is really creepy." Flora whispered, shaking slightly. "Nah, all it needs is some light." Stella chided, clapping her hands and forming a ball of light in her hands. "Thanks Stella. Alright girls, let's go." Bloom stated, gathering up her courage and making her way forward.

The six friends made their way deeper and deeper into the cave. Nothing seemed to change, except how dark it was getting. Eventually, they founds themselves in a small room where an ominous purple light was flickering through it.

"Hello? Anyone in here?" Stella asked, lifting the light orb over her head. "No way!" Musa shouted, her hands covering her mouth. "You three?" Layla shouted in pure shock. "Oh boy, look who it is: the Winx brats!" A cold voice shouted, a blast of cold air soon following.
"Cut the crap Icy, what are you three doing here?" Bloom hissed in a fighting position.

A bright blue light traveled across the floor in little puddles every time Icy walked closer. "We're hiding out, what's it look like?" She challenged, placing her hands on her hips. "Are you the ones causing the magical disturbances?" Tecna growls, green orbs shimmering in her hands. "What, those? You've been feeling them too?" They heard Stormy shout, red puddles forming rather quickly as she ran over to join her eldest sister.

"Wait, you mean--you're not the ones causing them?" Musa asked confused. "No, if we were why would we act so surprised about it?" The heard Darcy snap, purple puddles forming more slowly on the ground as she too made her way towards her sisters. "Well, do you three have any ideas as to who is?" Flora asked, folding her arms to her chest. "If we did, we would have told you all by now." Icy said rolling her eyes.

"Alright. You three haven't, we don't know who is but--have you been feeling them coming from here? Because, that's where Miss Faragonda's friends have been feeling them." Bloom stated, letting her orbs of fire vanish. "Well, we have been sensing some kind of disturbances, but we don't know exactly what they are or where they're coming from." Stormy stated, scratching the top of her head.

"That helps." Layla snaps, earning deadly glares from the Trix. "It's more information than you have pixie." Icy snarled, making ice begin forming around her feet. "Now don't push your luck you three." Bloom hissed in a low voice.

"OK, so we don't know who or what is causing these. But, we know that it's coming from here, agreed?" Tecna asked the group, earning nods of approval from both parties. "I know this sounds a little strange after all we've been through, but could we work together just this once?" Bloom stated, holding out her hand for a truce. Icy looked repulsed by the idea. "No way! After all you've made us do and endure--why should we help you?" She snarled, making Bloom flinch.

"Because if you help famous and loved people like us, maybe everyone could give you another chance." Stella stated, making Icy think this over. "If they don't trust you completely, helping us out will at least make you three a little more trustworthy, and maybe give you all a chance to a new life." Flora said, making Darcy and Stormy join in to thinking the idea over.

After a few minutes of silence, Icy let out a sigh and shook Bloom's hand. "Alright deal; but just this once. Any other time, I will say absolutely and positively no." Bloom nodded, and they quickly let go of their hands sealing off their temporary truce.

The group of nine made their way through the cave: checking everywhere to see if they could find the source of the disturbances. "How big is this cave anyway? It seems as if we've been walking for hours." Stormy complained, earning a round of eye rolling from the Winx. "We don't know how deep this place goes because no one knew it even existed." Tecna snapped, looking over her green maps once again.

"Alright just saying..." Stormy grumbled, continuing her way deeper into the cave. Everyone continued walking, and soon they too were feeling the fatigue of this long journey. "Hey, look," Musa said, pointing up at the ceiling. "Now that's something you don't see everyday." Layla chuckled, seeing what Musa saw.

The top of the cave seemed like the rest: covered in crystals and cobwebs. But this part, was very strange; it had the normal roof, but then the crystals faded out and got smooth to form the roof of a marble, square shaped room.

Bloom formed and orb of light in her hands and made her way forward, the rest of the girls following. "Do you see that?" Flora asked skittishly, pointing as a floating sword in the middle of the room. "What in the world--?" Layla began, before the way they came in shut with a loud snap.

"HEY! What's the big idea?" Darcy hissed, pounding upon the door. "Let us out!" Musa screamed, blasting it with a sonic blast. "Watch it!" Stella screamed, as she flew out of the swords large whacking range. "What is controlling that thing?" Stormy screeched, dodging another swing. "I don't know, but we're about to find out," Bloom snapped, blasting the sword with a beam of fire.

A horrible screeching filled the room as soon as Bloom's attack hit the sword. The girls covered their ears, as a horrible creature soon emerged out of nowhere.

It had the face of some kind of cow skull, with large horns like a ram. It's mouth was filled with razor sharp teeth, and it's body was mainly muscle and bones. It had long sharp nails, and it seemed to have covered itself in a long black robe.

It let out another screech, before flying up into the air and circling the room. "Come on girls, let's kill this thing!" Stella shouted, flying up after it. Everyone nodded, and sped off after the horrible creature. "Enchantix Sunburst!" Stella shouted, firing the attack at the creature. It raised it's sword and blocked the attack, screeching and flew after Stella. "Enchantix Sphere!" Bloom shouted, trapping the things inside the sphere. "Now to get rid of it--Ice Coffin!" Icy snarled, freezing the sphere it was encased in. The ball containing the creature fell to the ground with a loud thud.

"Yes! Awesome job girls--" Musa started, but was interrupted by a screech, and ice flying everywhere. "Spring has Sprung!" Flora shouted, turning all the ice into tiny doves. The creature hissed angrily, and spun around, it's sword following. "Firewall!" Tecna shouted, creating a barrier around everyone. "We need to do some thinking if we want to defeat this thing." Darcy said, checking over her shoulder. "Tell me about it... not only is this thing creepy, but it's tough too!" Layla pouted, giving the creature an evil-eye.

"Alright, we're going to need to distract it first. Darcy and Tecna: you two can make copies of yourselves and all of us. Make sure you two are in a shield so you can focus on controlling the copies." Bloom stated, Darcy and Tecna nodding. "Next, Icy will freeze him to make him immobile for a few seconds. Next, we'll all perform a shrinking spell and then focus all our energy unto its head: causing it to explode from the amount of force. Sound good?" Everyone seemed OK with Bloom's plan, and all set off to accomplish it.

While Tecna and Darcy stayed in the shield, the rest went off into hiding, waiting for the copies to form. A few seconds later, the Winx and Stormy and Icy, saw their copies appear and began their distracting of the monster.

"Okay, it's taken the bait--Icy go." Icy nods and flies off towards the monster. Sneaking up behind it, she blasts the monster shouting, "Ice Tower!" Freezing it instantly. "Alright, we only have a few seconds, go!" Bloom shouts, the girls following her lead. "Take hands girls!" Flora shouts, everyone doing so and focusing their energy on the top of its head. In a large blast of bright light, the monster is reduced to the size of a small puppy, and seconds later, explodes in a shimmer of colors.

"Awesome, we did it!" Musa shouts happily, the rest nodding and landing on the ground. "Great, we beat it. But how are we supposed to get out of here?" Icy asks, earning worried glances from everyone else. "That's a good question--" At Flora's word, a new door leaving the room opened, making everyone exchange confused looks.

"Alright now this is just getting weird." Stella snaps, making her way towards the open door. The others followed her lead, and made their way into a large circular room. In there, there was a small chair made up or crystals and a strange looking man occupying himself with an even stranger looking mirror...

"Hey! What are you doing over there?" Musa shouted, causing the man to whirl around. "Oh wow he's ugly!" Stella jumped, causing the man-thing to erupt a high pitched squeal. "Did he just do that?" Darcy asked, raising an eyebrow. "I think so." Stormy whispered back, the man-thing making his way towards the girls.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Bloom stated, standing her ground. The man-thing stopped walking and lifted his arms, which were covered by a long robe. "I am Zant, king of the Twilight. Who are you?" He challenged back, his voice cold and inhuman. "I am Bloom. Princess of Domino and fairy of the Dragon Fire, and you didn't answer my other question: what are you doing here?"

There was a moment of silence before Zant responded. "Why, I am fixing my portal home as you can see over there." Bloom raised an eyebrow. "That mirror over there? What's so special about it?" Zant gave a cold chuckle. "Oh you lights inhabitants are so naive." This statement made Bloom even more confused. "What's that supposed to mean?" She hissed, taking a step forward.

"I don't have time to waste talking to you of all people." Zant spat, turning around and making his way towards the mirror. "Now wait just a minute--" Bloom hissed, flying after him. Zant turned around and with the wave of his arm, Bloom went flying backwards into a wall. "Bloom!" Stella shouted, running after her. "What was that for?" Flora snarled, earning nothing but silence from Zant.

"You just can't walk away from us! We demand some answers!" Icy snarled, flying after him as well. Zant turned and faced Icy, raising his arm and causing a red portal to form right above her. She moved out of the way, just as a huge black beast fell out of it. Icy encased the beast inside ice and returned to face Zant but it was too late: he made his way up a staircase of light and vanished in black squares into the mirror.

"Come on Darcy, Stormy, let's go after that creep!" Icy snarled, her sisters following her lead. But before the Trix could even reach the mirror, it shattered into three pieces, the three soon vanishing into thin air.

"What just happened?" Darcy asked, very confused. "I have no idea." Icy stated, landing and investigating the creature she had frozen;

It was large and black, with strange pink markings all over it's body. It had four long legs which it walked on, and it had a very strange head: it was shaped like a shield, and was the largest part of the body. It was black also, with circles that got smaller and smaller filling out its surface. It also had long feather-like things sprouting from the top and bottom of its head.



"What is that?" Musa hissed repulsed. "No idea, but it's what that Zant guy summoned to attack me." Icy explained, the rest of the group observing the creature too. "Do you think we should bring this to Miss Faragonda?" Flora asked, earning a nod of approval from Bloom. "I think it would be wise to let her know of all this." She stated, making Flora nod. "Just one question: how do we get out of here?" Stormy asked, looking around the room.

"Easy, like this," Tecna made a small device appear in her hands and after clicking a few buttons, she attached it to the wall and it formed a portal. "That's how." She stated proudly. The girls nodded their thanks and together, (with the Trix and the monster) they made their way through the portal and into Alfea.
