30 Day Challenge, Day 1: Who is your favorite male character? Why?
So I decided to do the Walking Dead 30 Day Challenge to pass the time until the show comes back on. Anyone who wants can do it with me.
Okay, so my favorite male character is Shane. I know that weirds a lot of people out, but I love him. My love stems mostly from a writer's standpoint. He's this dark twisted character and I love watching characters like that as we watch their descent into insanity or redemption slowly unfold. One thing I particularly like about Shane is the fact that his insanity stems from relatively good things:
1. his unrequited love for Lori
2. his need to protect Carl
3. his drive to survive
It really drives home that whole, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." Everything he does is fueled by those three points, but he goes about doing them in such a wrong way. I think he's such an interesting character.
