i think elena because i think both would realize that if they had to choose they pick elena because they have both lived life for 160 yrs and experienced life and elena has just started her life and has experienced life.

i think Elena because Damon can take care of himself

stefan would totally pick damon cuz he always has. when stefan 1st turned and damon no longer wanred 2 stefan didn't respect his decision like s/e fans say he does with elena. he said he basically forced damon 2 drink and turn cuz he needed his dig brother and didn't want 2 be alone. he also gave up elena 2 go with klaus 4 the cure 2 save damon once again cuz he obviously can't stand the thought of living without damon in his life...not so much the case with elena. stefan was willing 2 let her sacrifice herself in s2 finale cuz he "respected" her choice and he respected her choice in s3 finale where it actually cost her her life so seems 2 me if he had 2 he could live without elena. don't tell me he loves her so much that he respects her choices even if it costs her her own life cuz when u truely love some1 and can't live without them or the thought of them dying WHENTHEY DON'T HAVE 2 u would give 2 shits about respecting their death wish which is exactly how he felt about DAMON and the idea of him dying. with elena he just let her hand go and watched her leave with klaus. when it came down 2 it he sacrificed himself and left with klaus. ny decision is based on what has been shown!!!!

i think he would choose to save his brother, But thats not to say he would, depends on the situation, if Damon could he would make Stefan save Elena first, Plus you have to think Damon is capable of looking after himself so depends on what kind of danger he's in really
