i think damon is still getting the hang of his emotion because he just recently turn on him emotions and stefan has had his emotion on way longer so of course he would have a better hand on his emotion. i get why damon did but i just don't agree. They also said that at first you can't control the emotions and later you get better at handle the emotions because everything is heightened.
