what i'm gonna ask could sound a bit strange, but does Stefan know about "Damon/Elena"?

At the end of Shadow Souls, when Stefan taps into Elena's thought while *drinking her blood*, he knows about the child in Damon's mind. So Elena explains to Stefan about Damon's MENTAL PROCESS. SO did the tell him about her alone momentS with Damon and the way she got introduced to the child (after Damon kissed her)? and if she did, why is he accepting that?

my questions concerns the books not the series.Elena and Damon kisses in the books but not in the series i know that and i know that Stefan turned on hi jealousy sensors in the series. thx though
