ya for me he's pretty much the perfect character. i can't think of anyone else i would rather watch.

At first i thought that i liked damon for his good looks, (and i really hoped that i wasn't that terrible of a person LOL) but no when i really looked back, i was totally on team stefan and stelena and in the first episodes i DESPISED damon until we really started to see the complexity of damon's character and how different he really is, by watching him spend time with Elena in Bloodlines. After that i slowly began to fall in love with him and delena :)

he's an amazingly complex character with such a compeling story! plus he's bafflingly gorgeous, naturally

I love everything about him. Really! Starting with the fact that he is played by Ian :)

Can anyone really like a character just for good looks? lol. Well for me the good looks is a huge bonus. But I would be totally indifferent if the personality wasn't that great.

Ian played Boone in Lost also. He was hot, but I never cared for his character. Totally uninteresting.

First of all I loved Damon as a villain and bad boy. He was so badass and funny. Totally perfect for a vampire. Then I loved him even more as a complex character. Sure he has flaws. But the best characters do. He can be smart and he can make stupid mistakes. He makes me laugh and cry. He can be totally evil, but he also has a good and unselfish side. He is the perfect tv character.
