Because that story seems to be a developing over the seasons kind of story, Elena is still in love with Stefan that cant be denied and if they want to keep the character of Elena being Elena and not a heartless cow they are not going to have her suddenly with Damon!

Because she loves stefan. She will never love damon the same way. She only cares about him for now anyway. Also damon needs to want to change for himself and not only for her cause otherwise him wanting to be good would be fake. Damon needs to stay away from her cause she is messing with his head at the moment. AND STELENA iznt boring they are the only real couple on the show.

It's not the right time, Damon&Elena's story is based on friendship, trust, ups and downs, it's actually like a real story, they're not another "perfect fairytale" and that's what makes them special, they're not the typical epic couple that kisses, falls in love, breaks up and then makes up...
so we have to wait a little bit more, trust me at the end we'll finally get what we deserve for that long wait, I'm sure :)

Because they're not going to just throw them together and expect people to believe they have this 'epic love', like KW said he'd feel cheated, as would the audience. Stefan is just a stepping stone in order for Elena to get to where she needs to be when she's ready for Damon. Her Twin Flame. Don't worry it'll be AMAZING when they do get together! :]

@INLOVEWITHDAMON I would like to say im sorry about calling DE fans idiots. Shipper wars bring out the worst in me lol. It just really bugs me when people call stelena boring when they are the only real couple and madly in love. I would rather him around people I care about then crazy damon, and delena would also be boring to me as a couple cause damon being sweet and loving I just cant see that with him, also until he changes his ways for himself and wanting to be good cause he wants to I just dont want him with her until he does. He needs to get in control of his emotions instead of killing people like that girl when he could have took it out on jules instead of killing her. So yah peace and love :)

@vampbarbie i agree he needs to think and act for himself and want to be good and do good things.so happy he told elena off in the last episode in the bathroom about him only doing the right thing only for her. Damon and the reported girl was just wrong cause she wanted out of it when he said that he killed people and him forcing her to stay was just so so wrong. I hope he takes a liking to her and doznt have to glammer her all the time he needs a mature woman.

Because of the buildup, because it would be too easy, because it wouldn't be this beautiful amazing love story (like it is in the books) if she just fell for him right away. It's something she is going to struggle with, something she isn't going to understand, and something that will happen without her realizing it. And it's going to be amazingly beautiful and completely epic (yes I went there ;))

None of this would happen if she just "fell in love with Damon already," and I'm okay with the waiting because it makes it so much more genuine, so much more beautiful, so much more hard-fought, and so much more...well real.

It is still to early. Elena just got back together with Stefan, it would suck if she breaks u with him again after 3 episodes. But I don't mind if they take it slow. Not a fan of Delena at all :/ (Sorry if I insult anyone, it's my opinion.)

Becouse it's not time for them. I don't know about endgame but I'm 99% sure that one day she will fall for him. But they are kinda developing couple. Getting everything at start is just boring!
