I like human Katherine (or should I say Katerina...) but I find more interesting the magnified sense of self-protection that she has as a vampire. When she was human she had it, yes (she turned into a vampire by killing herself so she could continue to live!), but as Stefan said (I think it was Stefan, maybe I'm wrong), being a vampire sort of magnifies the aspects of your human personality and I find incredibly interesting how as a vampire Katherine has that self-protection magnified.
