Well, Damon didn't give Elena his blood to hav an intimate moment with her & piss Stefan off...
He did it to help Elena when she was starving & still refused to drink human blood. He was doing her best to help her out. Stefan was just freakin' jelous & him hitting Damon, especially when he just got hurt, was really low.
