Per usual, The Vampire Diaries served up a heaping dish of pain, tears, and immense nostalgia. Though the supernatural drama was at an all-time low for once, real human grief was not.

In case it hasn’t become apparent by now, investing in tissue stock before all-new episodes of TVD air would probably be worth your while. Why? Because the show’s writers are on a ruthless mission to make us shed any and all tears.
