Yeah, the series is based on the books by L.J. Smith but the show is apparently really different (i havent seen it yet, wont start for another 4 days) but you can read the whole of the first 2 books online at:

if you actually go on to the site homepage just click on the "books" hyperlink thing and then there is an ORDER NOW part or a READ FOR FREE part... but you can only read all of The Awakening and The Struggle online... you can only read sample chapters of The Fury and The Reunion and the sequal:
The Return: Nightfall only gives you sample chapters too.
