WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THIS SHOW? I SAW 5 MIN. OF IT AND I HATED IT.

You're sure brave to ask such a questions on TVD spot. We,people who like the show, usually don't like to hear that. But since you've asked people are all different and tastes are different!This is the spot for people who love the show! If you don't like it there is no need to go around and ask people how can they watch it!Personally I adore this show, I think it's amazing in all ways:cast,storyline,idea,passion! Maybe 5 minutes are not enough to make a desicion that you hate it?

How about...watch for more then five minutes and then make judgements. ;)

Okay, first of all, everyone likes different things. Second of all, just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean that nobody ELSE is allowed to like it. Third, it's actually a really good show and why don't you like it? And fourth, you don't need to be so rude about it.

I'm sure theres alot of things you like that other people dont like...its all a matter of choice..and hate is a very strong word...maybe if you watched more of the show you might find something you do like...life's too short to go around "hating" things if you're not going to give them a fair chance. :)

Well honestly, the only interesting part about this show was when Vicki turned into a vampire. I love stories that include "newborn" vampires.
But now that Vicki is dead(she was only a vampire for one episode) I don't think I'm going to bother with the show.

only 5 minutes....u gotta give ur attention to the whole episode before making a decision....i think this is the best show on the CW rite now....gossip girl kinda died for me....buh will download those episode and watch later....and it gets better at each episode u watch i mean now its getting good b/c elena knoes stefan is a vampire....so here come the good stuff...OH...YEA!!!!
BTW....wht the hell r u doing in this spot if u arent even a fan.....i really hate when people dp that not a fan and come in here asking WHY we like this WHY we like that....WHY?? b/c TVD is HOTNESS...especially damon and stefan....and i ask u why r u in here on this spot if ur not a fan....just to ask us WHY??

Its a very good show and its my new favorite.
I liked it after Twilight came out.
I tried to watch it because, I'm out of vampire series/movies to watch so I picked this show.

To be honest, I also watched first ten minutes once, and decided that I would never watch it again :D But a few days later, I was really bored, so I decided to try again and watch at least first episode. Now, it's one of my favourite shows. And I can't wait to see next episodes, it's so addictive!

Well to be honest I really only watch this because of Ian Somerhalder...the other stuff is pretty cheesy.

But it's okay I guess compare to some other shows.

its a very good show you should watch it from the first one you would prolly like it then i love the show lol!

the show is definitely a romance. there are relationships forming everywhere in the show so if you don't like romances then i wouldn't watch it or supernatural beings for that matter :)

To answer your question, TVD is a required taste. Now, I'm not saying suspension of disbelief is not needed when the actress playing dual roles uses identical mannerisms (and vocal inflection) to play two characters and I'm not discounting the repetitive aspect of the stories provided but on the whole, TVD does have its moments.

I don't know... maybe because people are different? But you said you only watched five minutes of the show, you got to be at least watching one whole episode to start judging the show. :P

Since you only watched 5 minutes I don't think your in a position to judge whether its good or not.

I watched the pilot and didn't like it that much. I thought it was a bad copy of Twilight. I gave it another try much later. Now it is my favorite tv show. Best show ever.
