The pictures on the commercials for this show, picture them lying in a sort of medow, ring a bell?

i am a fan of twlight, the vampire diaries tv show is nothing like twlight, its easy to compare vampire shows and i see where people are ocming from in the sense that the human falls for the vampire and is set in a high school but if were using just that as comparison we can say omg twlight is so trying to be like buffy , that characters are very differnt to twslight its also i feel edgier than twlight, its kinda getting annoying now that anything about vampires is being compared to twlight, rememebr these VD books came before the twlight series!

I have to admit that I have read the Twilight books first and I loved it. But when I read VD, i love it even more.

I have to say that Vampire Diaries and Twilight are a whole different books. VD came out earlier than twilight, so if you want to say that VD is copying twilight, then you're mistaken.

Unless your talking about the TV show, then yes, I would have to agree with you. There are so many things in the show that is VERY similar to Twilight the movie. [eg: Stefan wearing the blue buttoned tee at the woods with Elena / Edward wearing the similar thing in the woods with Bella]

But nonetheless, I love them both. So I'm not complaining.

yeah... you know the book was really different from the TV show... and the books didn't really remind me of twilight but the TV show... i can relate almost everything to twilight!

the books r more like twilight than the show is. and they arent trying 2 copy anything, with the book if u think she copied...she didnt. L.J. wrote these starting in 1991
