The Vampire Diaries TV Show Question

Anyone who read the book... I need your opinion. Does anyone else feel like the TV Show is a different story than the one told in the book?

It was just making me curious. I read the book and yet there is a lot of parts that I didn't recall reading and the characters are different...

yeah i kinda like the show being different because it adds suspense and I like not knowing whats going to happen next. Thanks for the comment!

it is different- yet I like it:) I've read all 5 books and they are great. but I like the difference with the TV show
