Can a Werewolf be turned into a Vampire?

I was reading this fanfic and something reminded of this question so I thought I would ask and find out. :)

Yes,then he or she become a hybrid,mixture of vampire and werewolf.When you feed werewolf with Klaus` blood and kill him he will come back as a hybrid.If he wants to complete transition he must drink Elena`s blood(doppelgänger) or he will die.
