The Vampire Diaries TV Show Question

In the picture below (3X14), Damon looks pretty darn mad. What do you think is causing his anger?

I have two theories. (1) Klaus and/or Elija are doing something that pisses Damon off. (2) As much as it angers and hurts me to say this, another possibility is Damon sees Stefan and Elena kissing. I hope so very much that is not the case. But, knowing Elena, I wouldn't be too terribly surprised--but I would be surprised.

Thoughts? Comments? Thank you.

Hadn't thought of that. But it makes sense. In the synopsises 3X14, it said something like, "After a night of violence and dashed hopes, Damon finds a new way to cope." Wouder what it is. Thank you for your comment.

I REALLY hope we're not right, but I'm terrified that we are. I will be so mad with Elena if she kisses Stefan. Granted, I'm biased on the subject, but the big difference that I see between Damon and Stefan is when Stefan had the chance to start over and turn things around, he didn't. He cowardly refused to face the horrors that he had done. He threw everything that he and Elena had away, hurting Elena very deeply. Where as Damon turned things around. Yes, he's still comulsive and slightly crazy but that's Damon. He was able to start feeling again and tone down his craziness--for Elena--and he did that thinking that he would probably never have her. Big damn difference if you ask me. Of course, whatever Stefan did to Elena, she thinks he did it to make her hate him, so it's basically a-ok that Stefan brings back the horror of the night her parents died and he's threatening to kill her and turn her into a vampire. For God sake, it's not the same thing when Damon shoved his blood down her throat to save her miserable life. He got slapped, she told him she hated his guts and ordered him out of his own house. But this is her beloved Stefan. Not Damon! This is why I hate Stefan. He always gets a free pass, and you can bet when this whole Ripper story is over, he'll get a free pass on that, as well. He's going to be there with a big story about how his feelings never left and he kept away to keep her safe. But, of course, Elena, like Stefan, always must get a free pass, usually at Damon's expense.
I just don't want to see this true-love-worth Damon hurt in the future by Elena.
