Ya... I can't understand that... There's an episode where Lisa implies something about that, but she doesn't say....

But, well.... that's kind of the mistery:D

I like to think that it's in a coastal state (since they have access to the ocean) but they also have mountains and alkali flats. I always thought North Carolina or something...

Well i dont realy know, my exfriend lives in springfield so im guessing springfield Illinois, thats my answer.

I did 5 years of research on this (no lie), I have come to the conclusion that they live in New Jersey. Maybe Matt will tell us in the Last Episode...

In one of the audio commentaries, they said it was in Massachusets.

I, surprisingly think I know the anwser to this, in the Simpsons Movie when Flanders and Bart are out hiking Flanders says:
"Ned Flanders: Look at that, you can see the four states that border Springfield: Ohio, Nevada, Maine, and Kentucky!Bart Simpson: Oh yeah."

So if Flanders is right they don't live in any known state. I mean only Ohio and Kentucky even border eachother
