"Hey Soda! You got mail!" Darry called from the kitchen. You put down the comb and sat at the table as the letter is tossed in front of you. Slicing open the envelope you begin to read, "Sodapop Patrick Curtis. We would like to announce that you have been drafted into the United States of America Army and will be a part in fighting the Vietnam War. Your departure date will be the 23 of May and will be a 4 year term. This is an extraordinary honor and we wish you the best. Sincerely, The United States Government" You slump in your chair and begin to shake. May 23 is only a month away....
