The Outsiders Question

Is the movie close to the book?

I've seen the outsiders movie and it was sooooo gooodd!! I looveed it!! It is my favorite movie by far. My brother's read the book but hasn't seen the movie. He said the book was different and I wanna know if the movie is like the book or not. I'm probably gonna read the book anyway.

The origonal version has a lot of scenes cut out, but the complete novel edition is almost exactly like the book. It also follows most of the same script. It is the only movie that I know of that is so much like the book.

I studied the book a couple years ago in school and then we watched the movie. It was a long time ago so I'm not exactly sure but I think they're pretty similar. But like and movie adaptation it changed a bit. The book is really good though I recommend it.

its acually really close. it even says the same things in the notes and everything. but it does cut out some scenes but you can still see them on Youtube.com and stuff. theres even a two disc DVD that has all of them!! but ya, its pretty dang close!!
