no i do not think ponyboy would sleep with cherry. i dont even think they would of gone out. ponyboy is younger than her and shes a socs and hes a greaser. and a greaser killed her boyfriend so yah and i thin k they would just stay friends. and ponyboy doesnt seem like the type hes to sweet and innocent and remember johnny told him to stay gold soo yah. and ponyboy doesnt seem like hes at the point where he likes girls like that yet and hes to young to get serious. but on the other hand i do see cherry and dally going out even though he was a greaser, hes her age and she likes him and even told pony that if she saw dally again she would fall in love. and dally seems more like the type that would do it.
