That's true, Jim needs to just keep this job as a job, not a career.
I'm thinking that they maybe should've gave Karen the job, and then gave Ryan the job she got... that would've seemed more practical since he's newer. But, I don't know. The comedy works well with Ryan as corporate manager because we're like, "Haha, you still haven't made a sale yet." and he's all like "I'm in an office that's better than my own pretending it's my office even though my office is already a step up from the anex with Kelly..."
