No brainer. But on the way he is hilarious. Not when he tries to be though.

I think the fact that he is a moron explins why he is mean offensive and rude, but also why he is so endearing at times.

no, these are all wrong. He is a guy that had a terrible childhood, and consequently was raised by television. He is not a moron, he was just raised differently.

This explains his personality much better than the label moron, or seems mean but is nice on the inside. My guess is that he is a child on the inside. And not a nice child, a pathetic, desperate child. At least thats what I see in the complex character of Michael. Oh, and I know that this is how the writers view michael.

I think it's a little bit of this and him being a moron. I think the moron quality is what makes it so that he doesn't realize when he's being a jack-ass. He really wants to make everyone laugh and be happy but he's so sheltered that he has almost no social skills. But, it's not like he's going out of his way to offend anyone. He really does think his antics are hilarious.

I would hang out with the guy.

I wish he knew how mean he is sometimes!!! But in all he just wants to be appreciated and liked, just like the rest of us do. He wants to be liked and be nice to people, he just does it in such a child like fasion that its unbearable.
