I was watching her in Season 1 and her character is very quiet and does her work and reacts when Michael is insulting her (ie, the slap). She has changed DRAMATICALLY since Season 1 and I don't think that current Kelly would have slapped Michael in Diversity Day. She either wouldn't have understood or she would have expected Ryan to do something about it.

The rest of Angela's is supposed to say sometimes rude. Anyways I think her change may have been less dramatic than Kelly's, but I thought she still deserved to be up there :)

I think that when they started they hadn't really decided what direction to go with Kelly and Angela because there changes weren't really like character changes they just happened all of a sudden without any explaination.

Definitely, I think it was excellent acting/writing with Pam in season three how she was just quiet and timid at the beginning and at the end she was dissing Karen, telling Jim how she feels, and it seems that she had way more talking heads during the end of season three.

I noticed that. Also, if you look at the alliance episode, she seemed very nice, and Pam seems mean. Like when Pam said that Angela didn't want games at the party because she thought it would be gambling and Pam said that at that time Angela was gambling that I (Pam) wouldn't smack her across the face.

i watched diversity day after watching a couple of season three episodes. my mind was blwn :P

but right after her, id put michael. i think he went from being kind of a sleazy (right word...?) jerk, to more of a naive, yet loveable child.

but i have to agree, pam has changed a lot, too. but at least we got to watch her change. kelly just changed out of the blue!

I'll say Ryan since he's become bitter, jaded and has climbed that corporate ladder. He was green when he started, he looks like he's been through the war now.

I read some fanfiction once that place her sister's death (you know that throw-away line about sad funerals?) between season 1 and 2. In the story, her sister was older, fun and outgoing, and when she died Kelly was like, OK. No more being mousy and meek. It's as good an explanation as I've heard.
