Karla Rodriguez

Seven-year-old Karla Rodriguez was last seen on October 20, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada at approximately 7:00 p.m.

She went to visit a neighbor's son to go play with him, but the neighbor told Karla to go home because it was getting late. Karla played outside by herself for about fifteen minutes before heading home on her bike.

Karla wasn't reported missing by her family until the next day. Her dad spoke to the neighbor who last saw Karla and assumed that she must've gone to another friend's house and he went to bed.

The next morning, Karla's mom called her school to see if Karla had made it there when she still wasn't home and the principal called the police.

Karla's disappearance was initially thought to be linked to a debt that her parents owned to a former brother-in-law, who came to Las Vegas demanding to be repaid and Karla was taken by him in an attempt to extort more money from her parents; however, he has been ruled out of as a suspect.

Her case is classified as a non-family abduction.
