His character on "The Mentalist" is great too, but I prefer heavy drama, and Baker as Nick Fallin, the sullen-spoiled-yet-has-a-good-heart-lawyer, was amazing. Also, "The Guardian" was just a better show, hands down. Police procedurals are rather predictable and therefore not that interesting to me. "The Guardian" was a more original, fresh, and emotional show. Plus, I really don't like Lisbon (don't know if that's because the character annoys me or if I think Tunney's acting isn't that great). But, as far as uninteresting police procedurals go, The Mentalist is by far the most interesting, and this is due largely to Baker's acting ability. posted over a year ago.

	mejune picked the Guardian: I've seen both and prefer the Guardian. The Guardian ended because the writers didn't seem to know where they wanted the show to go. Lulu could have been written out several times and I think the series would then have carried on with other better story lines. The Guardian won't come back so The Mentalist is a great substitute. The reason I like them both is Simon Baker naturally - so totally different in each. posted over a year ago.
