Is Cheezi from the lion guard related to Ed in someway?

He looks an awful lot like him.

2 Cheezi is a recreated version of Ed.

It is also unlikely by these two reasons.

1 the Lion guard isn't canon to the regular films.

2 Ed doesn't have a mate.
